We have created iPhone Calendar for all those web developers and web enthusiasts who wish to follow the design trends introduced by Apple and identify their websites with new Apple devices.
As its name suggests, Light Date Picker Calendar is a calendar that can be inserted into a website form, following the visual principles of the iPhone calendar, it's installation and use is extremely simple because it has been developed as am extension of Adobe Dreamweaver. With the Light Date Picker Calendar the users need not to enter a date anymore, just select it.
The requirements for using Light Date Picker Calendar are simple: you will need Adobe Dreamweaver MX 2004 or later version (including Dreamweaver CS4, CS5, CS6, CC ...) installed.
To install Light Date Picker Calendar, like any other Adobe Dreamweaver extension, you will need the Adobe Extension Manager, which is distributed along with Dreamweaver. Run the "Install" option in Adobe Extension Manager and enter the path to the .mxp file.
Once installed, the extension can be accessed through the Light Date Picker Calendar menu:
To insert Light Date Picker Calendar into a website you will need to load the webpage in editing mode in the Adobe Dreamweaver's web editor feature. Then place the cursor at the location where you want to insert an iPhone Calendar and click "Insert Light Date Picker Calendar" either on the toolbar or the "Insert" menu. Light Date Picker Calendar will show a configuration window described below.
ID: Enter the ID of the calendar to be added, this ID will identify your website calendar, very useful if used in a form.
Init Val: To mark a specific date, which will be visible by default when you load the calendar, you only need to enter a date in YYYY/MM/DD format. If this field is left blank, iPhone calendar will show the current month with the current date by default.
Once the calendar is successfully inserted, if you want to change the default date, change the value of the "Init Val" field in the property bar, after selecting the item.
Remember that at the end of installation both the modified web page and the directory structure created by the extension should be updated on your web server.
