Why my web page is not redirected automatically when is visited from a mobile device?

The web page is redirected automatically when is visited from a mobile device if:

  • The mobile device is a accepted mobile device. The list of mobiles devices accepted was published in http://www.dreamweaverextensions.com/faq/mobile-optimize#q9
  • The website is hosted in an Apache Web Server.
  • The mod_rewrite module is enabled in the web server and the .htaccess files are enabled in the web server.

Why my web page is loaded through Google web page, when is visited from a mobile device?

Old mobiles devices accepts only a reduce number of HTML tags or WML. Mobile-Optimize optimizes the web page to be displayed properly in the mobiles devices with advanced browsers but with a small display. Google have implemented a service to show the web page after remove extra resources as javascript, images, etc. to be displayed in all mobiles devices. Mobile-Optimize uses the Google service for old mobiles devices.

My web page will be one hundred percent functional using the Mobile-Optimize?

Every web page is different and exists a big number of features in the Mobile-Optimize to be configured. My recommendation is that you test your website using the demo in the product web page. Maybe you uses, in your web pages, empty tags to fill dynamically, but you have configured the Mobile-Optimize to remove empty tags. In the previous case the empty tags will be removed by the Mobile-Optimize and can't be filled dynamically.

Setting writing permissions to a folder.

On Linux/Unix based webservers, FTP programs ("clients") allows setting permissions for files and directories on your remote host. This function is often called chmod or set permissions in the program menu.

Writing permissions is similar to "777" permissions or "rwx-rwx-rwx" permissions. You may see some of these representation in your FTP program.

On Windows based webservers the permissions should be set through the webhosting control panel.
